I think it's ncs, and it doesn't matter that the no cage makes it ncs also as it's only with open flued appliances that two or more ncs's relating to fluing or ventilation amount to AR.

So if you had a rolled up sun awning >300mm above it, is it safe?

Of course the answer is no, if the sun awning can be opened.

Similarly if the door can be opened such that the necessary clearances for the flue are compromised, then it is unsafe.

In this case, I would suggest that without some form of restraint permanently fitted (and ideally labelled as to its purpose) to the opening door, it is dangerous.

Clearly it's been poorly sited even without the door blocking issue; with an opening this big there is bound to be a nuisance caused to the occupants in certain weather conditions. Also even with the doors closed there is a good chance of condensation forming on the window area.
