Problem :
Intermittent and varying high pitch noise coming from heat exchanger when Central Heating is on .
Actions so far :
spoke with Chaffoteaux , guy was very quick to diagnose blocked or partly block Main H/Ex and DHW H/Ex , removed and place in descaler over night . Refitted , still same problem .
Drained down full system , refilled and added FERNOX restorer , to clean system .
2 days later , still same .
Then the customer says he struggled to get DHW , had to keep turning tap on and off to get diverter valve to switch over .
So today , while the boiler was making it noises I placed me hand on the dirverter valve and it seemed to be vibrating and this transmitted up the pipe work to the Main H/Ex .
Could it be that it is the dirverter valve causing the problem or something else .
