Two top floor radiators cold at top warm at the bottom

Please help! Its cold up here

I'm a complete novice at this stuff as this is my first house. I have realeased any air that has been trapped but the radiator still remains cold at the top but warm at the bottom!

On lower floor radiators I have noticed blackened water coming out when I release air.....its this the cause? am I sitting on a possible disaster?

any help appreciated.

Sorry!!! Im completely thick when it comes to this stuff being a girl. Im a compleeeeete novice.

All I can tell you is there is something in the kitchen called a glow work 18hxi if that means anything?! I think its a combi boiler.

you will need to top up the pressure in the system see FAQ above

you may well have to bleed the rads several times and keep topping up

The radiator that is still cold at the top- did you manage to fill it, i.e. did water come out of the bleed vent?
Is it on the first floor or ground floor?
What is the pressure guage showing on the front of your boiler ?
Have you vented all the other rads successfully?
Is the central heating working satisfactorily? (apart from this one radiator)
