Installing a Power Shower

Most destructions that you get with shower pumps have an illustrated installation guide. Your sketch looks ok apart from where you have tee'd into the hot draw off for the pump.

Most destuctions will tell you to take the hot further down the draw off after the vent as shown here:



You'd probably be better off going by what they tell you to do in case it invalidates the warranty in any way.

Thank you for your reply Lee-King, think i know what i'm doing now (hopefully! ).

Think i'll go with the quick fit plastic piping, 22mm i think usually before pump and 15mm after pump? I'll get an electrician to wire in the 3A isolator switch.

Never thought of the gate valves on the hot and cold into the pump but would be a good idea in case i ever need to isolate.

That'll be ok.

Its always best to isolate the pump, i put them on the outlets aswell. If you ever need to change the pump for any reason it saves getting water everywhere. Use full way isolation valves so not to restrict the flow.
