While installing a new tub we've had to install new ABS drain/overflow tubing to the existing line. The old set was copper on top of a lead pipe "P" trap and pipe heading to the main stack. I've had to cut off the copper drain/overflow and now have to attach the new ABS to the lead "P" trap. The lead is not perfectly round. The question is what options do I have to mate the two materials together so they are secure and long lasting? Also considering the level of the drain in relation to the tub, I can not add any height to the drain/tub connection, but I could go lower. Images might be available if that would help.
