Whirlpool ADG7540/01

When starting any wash, the programme will get so far then stop. The machine beeps continuously and reverts back to the pre wash symbol. The start symbol also lights up and flashes continuously. After a few seconds of beeping the dishwasher stops working but continues beeping.

Can anyone help?

Check the flashing light, is there a pattern to it?
It should flash a set sequence, count the flashes between pauses and post the result here.

Thanks. Managed to sort it out. Some kind of drain blockage.
