I'm relocating a rad in my kitchen and want to bury the pipework adjacent to the wall in the concrete floor and then bury the pipes in the wall before connecting up to the vertical radiator. First of all is it ok to bury copper pipes in a concrete floor if it is how deep down should they be and should I insulate them.

If running in copper the cocrete will corode them. depending on length of run id use copper plastic coated 10mm & insulate with thin wall lagging for expansion as well. if using plastic pipe the just the lagging for expansion. They do run under floor in plastic with out insulation but u must pressure up the pipes far higher than workin presure to allow 4 this. between 3 & 6 bar barrier pipe. A little mesin stops a lota grief.
