Can you anyone offer advice? For the last 2/3 days my washing machine has been filling with dirty water when not in use. This only seems to occur after I have washed up in the kitchen sink. There have been heavy rains in this area and this problem has only occurred since then. |

You have a partial blockage in your sink/washing machine drain pipe its overloading and backing back up flowing back into the washing machine clear your drain pipes and that will cure the problem. |

Thanks very much... would you suggest getting a load of bleach down the drains or something more? |

I have never known bleach be very effective and yet to be convinced the likes of mr muscle drainer unblocker can be much good. However may be worth a try but I suspect in the end you may have to unscrew u bend or trap and use a flexible rod or similar to be effective. |

If your washing machine drain is connectd to the sink drain under the sink, check the routing of the W/M drain pipe - it should be raised slightly before is goes down to the W/M. |
