Spur Power Socket

I have just added a 13amp socket to an existing double socket as a spur. There is no power running to the new spur,the new socket has a dual earth connection is this the cause???

I'll check my connections, the existing double socket had two wires into it, is this still o.k to connect into? I think yes.

I said two wires, I meant two cables, obviously. Thanx for replying so quick last time by the way..

yes its still ok, there should now be 3 cables
