Cooker 3.5kw cable size

Please help.
I have a new Bosch cooker which is 3.5kw. The existing setup is a single 2.5mm cable from the consumer unit to a double pole switch and then a thick flex to the cooker. The mcb at the consumer unit is 16amp. Will this be ok for the new cooker? Also the bosch manual states I should use a HO5 W-f mains connection lead. Is this a type of flex lead? and if so what does it basically mean?

16A and 2.5mm^2 cable is fine.

It's not W is V V. It basically means a PVC insulated, PVC sleeved, flexible cable.
