I have had a hotpoint aquarius wf240 for a couple of years and had not problems until recently, when after washing a couple of dogs blankets my machine seems to have developed a problem in the rinse and final spin cycle, it won\\\'t drain. I\\\'ve lost the instructions so don\\\'t know where to locate the filter on the machine, I\\\'ve checked the lower front panel but its not there, I\\\'ve taken the lower back panel off and can see where the drainage pipe is but see no obvious filter. I\\\'m a novice DIYer as you may have guessed, so if you could keep the instructions as simple as possible that would be great! Cheers.

Unfortunatly hotpoint do not make the filter accessible from the outside of the machine. It is almost certain after your recent wash that the filter is blocked or partially blocked. The filter is located at the bottom of the drum in the large black sump pipe which drains the tub into the pump, it is connected onto the bottom of the tub with large black plastic bandclip which has to be dismantled to give access to the plastic filter inside. You will need a certain level of diy skills for the job if you feel you do not have this I would advise an engineer call out.
