We have some ceramic uplighters that SWMBO wants to paint - to match the wall colour.

Wall will be matt emulsion but I am wary of just using this on the uplighters. They are unsealed ceramic.

What should I use to prime them and is emulsion suitable when primed.

There is nothing with the lights - just a comment in the instructions that they can be painted but does not say with what!

Thin down first coat with water as per tins instructions for porous surfaces. HOWEVER, beware of Rich Matt Emulsion as this stuff needs a sealer.
