Plaster problem

Hi, need some advice please, on stripping wallpaper a few small areas of the top coat of the plaster has come off, about 4" x 4" in size roughly, what would be the best way to repair as i intend to put lining paper up.Many thnx.

I use plaster joint filler. You can get this at most DIY stores.
Comes in powder form and mix with warm water, just like polyfiller.
This stuff rubs down in seconds with fine sand paper. :LOL:
 
Some will agree and some will disagree, but fill these small 4 inch by 4 inch top layer holes with Red Devill Onetime Ready Mixed Filler. Fill them slightly proud then rub down once dry.
