hi folks! how do you tile old uneven surfaces ?say the wall moves in and out....would you build it out with tile adhesive? were do you draw the line before plastering it,or just tile and dont bother trying 2 build it out??

using tile adhesive to level up the walls can get very messy indeed, even for a seasoned pro. trying to pull a tile off the wall covered in adhesive and thicken out tends to make a right mess, particularly with the grout joints.
i would recommend using plaster to level up, then at least you will have a more straight forward tiling job.
