Hi,
I am bout to have solid maple layed in my sitting room and hall. The guy laying it has advised he does it using batons, he's a family friend so i trust his opinion, however, this means that the floor level will rise, and there will be a small step between sitting room & kitchen (at partition double doors).
I planned on getting kitchen tiled, but with this step, will i need to get kitchen floor raised to this same level??
P.S. sitting room is currently concrete, kitchen has tile effect mdf stuff in it.
P.P.S. If i don't get this sorted there'll be a divorce soon !
Thanks,

You could use a levelling compound and glue floor or even use a floating method to stop hight issue |
