Hi all

Would be really grateful for some advice on the following -

I am about to tile my mums bathroom - the walls are plasterboard which have been taped rather than skimmed but has been papered with lining paper and painted at some point. Do i need to strip the paper or can i just key the surface and tile on to it???

many thanks

tim

take off the paper mate. the weight of the tiles and wetness of the adhesive will pull the paper off the wall.

No because the way the plasterboard is made

thanks for the replys. my concern was that it might take the top layer off the plasterboard as the paper looks pretty well stuck down but I will give it a go at the weekend.

thanks again
