dump it on top of the concrete!

it will never drain that well and will never bed in though.

it may not be all that comfortable to walk or drive on either.

the cheapest method is : erect a border around the concrete area to keep gravel from migrating. Divide concrete area with 2" x 2" strips of timber.Fill the area between timber dividers with fine gravel. Secure gravel by covering with mesh galvanised/plastic coated ( make sure mesh holes are not to small) fix mesh to timber dividers. Cover whole area with gravel which should be of a greater diameter than base gravel this will allow top to bed into bottom and stop gravel from migrating. Make sure you provide drainage through border. Alternatively you could purchase honey combe tiles from a diy out icon_biggrin.gif let fix together , secure and then back fill with gravel of choice.
