Normally shaver sockets are fed from the lighting circuit. If you feed it from the socket circuit you will need to include a fused spur with a 3A fuse in it, but it is not convention to do this.....

The power can come from either the lighting circuit or via a fused spur unit from the ring socket circuit. The shaver socket needs to be an isolation transformer type. The circuit it is fed from needs to be included in the supplementary bonding. These item(s) should only be installed in zone 3 or beyond. This work is notifiable to your local area building control office under part p of the building regs.
