Just moved into a 1930s house and I need to update / replace a few radiators and replace sticking Drayton TRVs. Generally the radiators have a top feed with TRV and bottom return. On some the feed and return are on the same side of the radiator.

I'm more used to seeing bottom feeds and returns. I'd appreciate some advice on whether is it best to change to this arrangement or does it not make any difference?

Thanks

top bottom opposite end is usually used for a one pipe system

if it ain't broke don't fix it :D

As far as I can see it is a two pipe system from lifting of the floor boards which has rather confused.
