my bird flew and landed in hot candle wax. I removed him immediately and put cold water on him. now he is coated in a layer of hardened wax on his chest. any ideas on how to get it off him?

He has probably groomed it all off by now with his beak.

Best not to use any kind of cleaning material or solvent as he might swallow it or it could damage his skin (for example, white spirit will irritate even thick human skin if not wiped off quickly)
