I've just had my parquet stripped, fixed, sanded and waxed. i'm disappointed with the result, its dull and looks dusty. Oddly where my dog was sick having been fed butter by my son looks great, the grease really bringing out the wood. Short of rubbing butter into the whole floor can anyone recommend a wax/polish?

If your floor only had been waxed after sanding (and not oiled or hardwaxoiled) how many layers of wax has been applied?

Normally it takes 4 to 5 layers of wax to do the job this way. A wax-polish now wouldn't do the job either to reduces the dullness (only if it has been treated with oil or hardwaxoil).
