My Wickes flat pack kitchen wall units are suspended from 'suspension' plates which must be fixed to the wall.

No guidance or parts provided by Wickes.

A rival manufacturer's web site insists that 75mm screw be used for this job. Seems fair enough.

So my question: how do you plug a wall to take 75 mm screws? All the PlasPlug etc type products are 30 mm or so deep. I can't find anyone who sells a 75mm wall plug.

I hate the long strip stuff that has no grip.

At the moment I'm planning on using 'frame fixing plugs' - but they only have grip on the last inch. Kitchen fitters must use something???? Anyone know what?

Drill 6.5mm hole 75mm deep.
Insert brown plug.
Place screw into plug and turn slightly by hand.
Tap screw and plug to bottom of hole with hammer.
Remove screw.
Repeat process with second brown plug.
Will work a treat.

Cheers
Don
