Hi. Could somebody help ?
I am about to install this oven.I have the correct 6mm wiring to a 45 amp cooker switch,
the question is should the cable from the switch which is the same 6mm just be left dangling so to speak ,from the wall to the cooker (also because the oven is built in the cable length will be approx 1.5 mtr

s this correct.

Within 2 metres is OK. It needs to have enough slack to pull the oven out for maintenance and cleaning.

I would hope the cable does not go direct to the switch, but to a cooker connection that is usually below worktop height and behind the cooker.

the cable must not be likely to be snagged or knocked. You can buy 6mm T&E cable clips in your DIY shop for 50p or so for a small pack. Or buy a box of 100 which will last a lifetime.

p.s. When you say "oven" do you mean "oven" or do you mean "cooker?"

behind the plastic plate is a mounting box (normally a steel one recessed into the wall, but you can get a deep plastic one for surface fitting) and a fitting with three large terminals. Use green&yellow sheathing on all earth conductors

there is a slot at the bottom of the front plate where the cable goes out to the cooker
