Hi

I would like to buy a handheld belt sander, does anyone have any recommendations? I have £150 to spend and will be using it for general tasks like sanding table tops, doors etc.

Many Thanks

are you talking diy light to medium trade or full trade!!!!

somthing like ryobi will do a brilliant job up to medium trade
i have the 4"sander a big heavy beast about twice the size of a 3" sander

it has a frame to stop it digging in 'it can be inverted and mounted on a bench with clips supplied its ideal for large areas like table tops no good for panels but will do the frames of doors ok

you could buy the 3 and 4" for around £200

http://www.itslondon.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?criteria=ryobi 4 sander £118

http://www.itslondon.co.uk/pd_RYO240EBS9576V_EBS9576V_Ryobi3BeltSander.htm £88
