My Halstead Ace High boiler was working fine until today... When I turn it on, the burner ignites, but then it turns off after a couple of seconds - and the power light flashes. The pressure is also exceptionally low...

This sounds like something I should be able to fix myself - by just raising the pressure somehow... is it really that easy or should I be calling in an engineer?

Well the first thing to do is to increase the system pressure to about 1.5 Bar and see if it works properly.

Its surprising that you need to ask here when you already seem to know that.

PS you had also bettter check the tyre pressures on your car!
