Just got up in the loft of our house for first time to find out what is causing damp patch on ceiling..

There are three water tanks..A large one which I assume is the hot water supply gravity fed..

There are two other small tanks side by side..I was expecting one..Are they both F& E tanks..If so why have two been fitted??

Thanks

(cause of damp is ballcock gone on one and seal between tank and overflow pipe leaking)

Seen them used for thermostatic shower cold feed's too if you have a tank fed gravity hot supply (which you have)

Just an idea

we have only the one boiler..its weird never seen this before....

are the two F&E tanks linked.

What size output is the boiler

is there limited space in the loft, they may have twinned the tanks to increase the size of the expansion tank :?:

I've seen it before. You just need to get out more. ;)

Yes I reckon they had limited space when fitted ..so I think thats why I have two!..thanks everyone!
