Hi

Having a L.F. fitted next week along with Gas C.H.

Plumber says Limestone marks and stains easily and should be treated, shop where bought want £20 for small bottle of sealant.

Will don't mind paying £20 if this is the norm but could I buy something from my local Builders merchant.

regards

limestones terrible for staining, some bits can be removed with a paste made from flour and bleach left to soak but always better to prevent than treat.
The best way is the specialist sealants but something like thomsons water seal will work, although they may darken the stone by a shade or two
