I've got a Valiant VCW T3W combi boiler, about 10 years old. It has started to fire up and run for approx 30 to 60 seconds then shut off again at irregular intervals when thermostat is set to zero. In a well ventilated boiler cupboard, time control makes no difference, pressure OK, normal functions run fine. Any ideas much appreciated or is it likely to just be old age ? Thanks

It's probably over 20 years old & the pre-heat switch is the on on the right of the red on/off switch
