No hot water/heating

Hi

I have no hot water coming out of my taps and my heating will not come on without being completely turned off and back on again.

I have a Baxi Combi 80e boiler, one of the lights is flashing indicating fault on pump or low pressure. The pressure does seem to be below 0.5 which is from what I can gather not a good thing.

Do I need to get an engineer out to have a look, does anyone have an idea as to what it might possibly be.

Help from a very confused female that has learnt a lot about boilers in one evening.

Edited to add....

Have repressurised boiler up to 1 but light is still flashing.....

SO if you turn the boiler off at the wall, it then works fine on CH?

WHat happens if you open a hot tap while the CH is on?

If I turn it off completely and then back on, the heating starts up and I will also get hot water from the taps.

For a start you should repressurise to about 1.6 Bar.
