Shower waste space

I have a concrete floor in the bathroom and wish to put in a large walk in shower. I'm assuming the only option of running the waste is raising the shower tray to provide the necessary space? Are there any special space saving waste traps out there? Thanks.

You could pump it out or chase the floor out.
