QUARRY TILES/DAMP New floor

Need advice … I have a quarry tile lounge and kitchen in my terraced house. Both have damp and are very uneven the quotes I’ve had mean no new kitchen which I desperatly wanted. So I thought Id remove them myself … they'd look great in a patio in the garden. Are they valuable? Should I be looking to relay them after I dig 40cm down lay concrete etc? Is this a job that a novice could try with a drill Hired from HSS, a skip for the rubble, a mixer and come sweat and tears? Be really grateful for any advice.

The job doesn't need much in terms of skill or experience, but is hard work.

How big is the area to be excavated?

How old is the house?

Do the walls have a DPC?

How many of the walls surrounding the tiled area are external?

I'm asking because if the floors are damp and you lay a 'proper' flooring base then you might cause the moisture to appear somewhere else. This can be avoided with due consideration, hence the above questions.
