Hi -

I've heard it's possible to put the bathroom upstairs in a two-up, two-down Victorian terrace using the space between the two rooms (above the stairs), think this is called the bulkhead. I'd love to do this to free up the back single story extension (currently the bathroom) to make a utility/larger kitchen.

Anyone seen this done before? I've spoken to a couple of bathroom people but they're not sure it's possible.

Many thanks, look forward to your views!

Anything is possible, depends on how much space you have between the rooms, and how you intend to access and support the room.
Can you take a pic.

Thought someone might want that! Camera borrowed until Monday so I'll post pic as soon as I get it back.

Think we might have to take a corridor-width slice out of one of the bedrooms (they're about the same size currently) for access and to make the bathroom space bigger. But I'll get some pics on, that'll be better than my rubbish explanations.

unless you have a landing or return stairs, the bathroom will only be 750mm wide. Bit small.
