I have a Bosch Exxcel dishwasher which is about 2 years old and has suddenly started using too much salt so that all the dishes etc are dull and VERY salty. Having filled the salt reservoir about a week ago, it is now already empty and the salt light is back on.Usually this amount has lasted for several months. Any ideas if this intake can be adjusted? |

You should find there is an adjuster.
Open the door, and look in the top left corner of the front of the cabinet (hidden when door is closed) for a plastic ring with a screw-slot.
I think it's clockwise for more salt, anticlockwise for less.
However I doubt it is the adjuster, more likely some kind of fault.
You are sure the salt compartment lid is sealing tightly? |

Hi,
On the side of the softner or saltpot there is a valve which regulates the amount of soften water into the appliance, this valve could be faulty, after you have adjusted the level, if it is still salty you need to replace this valve.
