Bathroom sink glugging noise
Reply with quote Thanks

Hello.I have just fitted a new bathroom basin with integral overflow. My problem is that when the water drains out it is very slow and when it finally empties it makes a really annoying glugging noise for about 10 seconds.Ive tried plunging it and this helps with the water flow for about a week but then it slows down again. The glugging is still there even after I have plunged.
Can anyone offer any advice on how to sort this problem out. Thanks very much.

You have a partial blockage.

How does the waste pipe run after leaving the basin trap? Have you taken it apart to check for obstructions? Does it have the correct fall on it? Does it join with the bath waste, and, if so, does the bath drain ok?

Try fitting an anti syphon trap, that should stop the noise.

Is there a device that will stop you adding to a six-month-old topic?
