I am considering an extension to a 1930's semi on a corner plot.
I have about 3.6m from the external wall of the house to my boundary, a pavement which is currently bordered by a connifer hedge.
Ideally i would like to build almost up to the pavement and replace connifer hedge with timber fence (allows me more floor area as hedge is about 600mm wide).
Does anyone know how close i can build to the boundary or would it vary from council to council.
any advice appreciated.
