Kitchen extractor and spped controller

Hi,
I reasontly came across an extractor fan in a restaurant kitchen. Outside in the junction box ther was a name plate on the terminals marked P.U.K.E. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me to there meaning. i know E was for earth but the rest????

If it's a nameplate, perhaps it's the name of the product and nothing to do with the wiring. Something like

P hilips
U niversal
K itchen
E xtractor
