Gentlemen, I have a knackered rendered wall to deal with.
I have removed unsound render , some of which has been caused by brick spalling and I am left with a patchwork quilt of bare brick/sound render.
I intend to patch the exposed brickwork with a render mix of 1:2:2 cement/sharp sand/building sand. Is this mix advisable? Should I add a diluted unibond solution to the wall prior to rendering? At what stage if any should I use waterproofing agent?
Then I plan to cover the whole wall in a Tyrolean mix, again when to use waterproofer?
Finally a masonary paint is to be applied, or would I be better off with a \\\"rubberised\\\" paint. You guessed it; when to waterproof ! ! |
