I know that if you spill candle wax on clothing then the only way to remove it is to place some brown paper on top, then iron it with a hot iron. This melts the wax into the paper. Then when cool, you remove the paper.
Not sure how well it will work with stone, but if you are all out of ideas...
Alternatively, doesn't wax dissolve in paraffin? If so, then perhaps this might help although you might just find that you end up with the whole fireplace a shade darker. Plus I am not sure how safe it would be if your fireplace is made of a porous stone! |
