I just bought a lot of sheet lead as I use it for flashing when I install my cast iron roof drains and the price of the sheet lead went up over 450% since last year
I use 3 ft x 3 ft x 4 PSF Cast Iron JR Smith roof drains with cast Iron domes |

Go where the trade plumbers go for their lead-....specialist trade supplies.Ask for trade ..as just by asking normally gets a percentage off 10%.Plumbers merchants who do specialise in lead will be cheaper and will have many types of lead in stock ie. not only code 4 and 5 but will also stock code 8 ie. for lead roofs on mansion houses etc.Look in the yellow pages for plumbers merchants and ask if they have any code 8 lead in stock(ie.2m wide)..these are the trade suppliers. As an ex roofer I bought lead for years...I asways asked for trade, and was never asked to show trade ID.(which I had in any event).Good Luck. |
