Put new PVC windowsills and trims on then some nice new trim around the edges, got myself a pro caulk tool set, then some bargain Unibond sanitary sealant. Big mistake.

It was a nightmare. Cured so fast, if I went over a bead twice it would block and clump. It's now coming away from the pvc after 2 months and looks absolutely shocking.

Had a man come and fit a patio door the other day and the silicone between the trim and wall is exactly what I need, didn't see what it was though.

I've heard Dow Corning are good? Any advice on which number to try or possibly another brand that's workable for a novice trying to make seals look half decent?

Thanks! :)

You should use caulk between trim and wall, pump it on and wash off with a wet sponge or cloth
