Hi, Mowing the grass tonight,
a stone hit large patio glass of the double glazed unit, The outer heat treated skin(?) has crackled, the inner skin is perfect and safe. We got a holiday booked for tomorrow :( . would it be safe to leave it with outer skin crackled (back garden and no people passing by) with the inner skin still secure ? would you go off and enjoy hols and sort out the glass when we get home after a short break. Its a conservatory, the house is still secure with other door, not worried if a little rain gets in conservatory.

Totally safe, look at it this way, if a burglar wanted to get in he'd throw a brick/planter/slab/plant pot at it twice and walk in while you were away anyway. Enjoy your hols, it won't go anywhere in a hurry, the worst that'll happen is the outer pane will crumble and fall to the bottom

Oh and next time you mow the lawn mow sideways and not towards the conservatory ;)

Thanks Crank,
just showed your reply to the wife and she's talking to me again. oh well better go get the case out the loft
