Hi
We have a stained glass window in a aluminium frame which is single glazed, which we would like replaced with a new triple glazed window and a replica stain and leadwork of the original stain, as we dont want the alternative of just including the original stain inside the triple glazed unit.
The current stain is on flemish glass and we want to keep the same style of glass in the new window
So with our new window we have been told that the stain and leadwork will be on clear glass in the middle of the frame, with flemish glass on the outside pane and clear glass on the inside pane
Does this sound ok? as we were told that you can still see the stain from the outside through the flemish glass. And that the stain and lead could not go on the flemish glass because the film would not stick to the contours of the flemish glass.
Or would it be better to have all clear glass?
