I've got a very large sitting room window, and this was replaced about 5 years ago with new UPVC windows.

Directly above this is the bedroom window, and that window was also replaced at the same time.

Over the last two years, we've had some really heavy winds and rain, and only with both combined water pours in throught he top of the downstairs window.

I've silicone sealed both windows again this summer, but the water still poured in last week during the storms.

The volume is really surprising, and my guess is that its coming from upstairs window and through the cavitiy and out of the sitting room.

Any tips of what to look out for / any hints of what it could be before I start gap sealing everything?

Theres also a chance it could be coming from the roof down through the cavity, possibly the rain and wind get under a damaged part in the tiles?

Have seen this before - source of water ingress is a nightmare to find sometimes, good luck!

I agree with the post above. Check that water isn't cascading out the back of your gutter and down the cavity.
