Grateful for some advice here. We are currently redecorating the lounge which was then changed to include the dining room at the last minute. The 2 rooms are divided by a set of hardwood french doors set into a frame with 2 glazed end panels.

The lounge has been plastered and the architrave has been removed from the french doors. Unfortunately I cannot see how the 2 fixed panels at either end are secured into the frame. My guess is that the panels were fixed before the frame went in!!! As we are intending flooring to go through both rooms, the bottom of the frame will have to be removed so will have to remove the end panels somehow. Any ideas on how best to achieve this?

Many Thanks

What flooring?, timber would need a threshold between rooms to allow for expansion.

Wouldn't an expansion gap all round the room be suffice? I am not laying the floor myself and the contractor hasn't mentioned it
