Can you help with a VWC-sine 18T3WF H boiler that wont fire up. Had a engineer come over but his recomendation was to replace it! He reckons the gas dirverter valve needs replacing then maybe a curicit board or something but then said might as well get a new boiler! Would rather spend abit of money getting this one working! Do you know any Engineers in essex that could support this old girl? Thanks

You mentioned a "using a compressor combined with a traditional garage type "filler" to re-pressurize small expansion vessels in this post:

I wondered if you could clarify what you mean exactly and maybe recommend a pump/compressor? I've had a few problems recently using a foot pump on some of these small vessels.

GG could you please send me a copy of the Vaillant 242 manual. I've just changed the DHW Heat exchanger for the new type, put a new Diverter on as that was passing. still having hot water probs(intermittent) looking at putting a new servo assy on next with diff diapragm. But need to know if my model is the hybrid and needs the link taking out. Thanks a lot.
