buy the following a portable rcd a 3 pin plug a length of flex 2.5mm 2 core and earth 3 spade connectors (with covered ends) make yourself a test lead with the above, turn off boiler and disconnect wires from fan attach your new test lead to fan plug lead into rcdplug, plug rcd into a socket and switch on fan will run if ok rcd will trip if not. regards kev
