Forget your keys with a smartphone door lock

Put your keys away – opening your front door may soon just be a tap away on your smartphone. Yale has released details of a new lock that allows homeowners to configure, control and unlock your door via a Bluetooth app.

The Yale Conexis L1 Smart Door Lock is exactly that, allowing doors to open at a swipe of your phone.

Family and friends will also be able to enter at the touch of a button by using mobile keys, which then leave a record of who comes and goes on your smartphone.

Using a Twist and Go function, your phone can also be twisted 90 degrees to unlock your front door.

The smart doors have a tamper alarm and is compatible with most multipoint locks on the market. It also connects with Yales’ other smart products, such as alarms and CCTV products.

You just need a screwdriver and tape measure to fit it.
