Mop up immediately Dissolve one part distilled white vinegar with five parts lukewarm water, sponge on fabric, and then rinse with cold water. Soak in biological detergent, then rinse again. Wash at the highest temperature the fabric can take. DO NOT USE VINEGAR ON ACETATE FABRICS.
Mop up as much of the liquid as possible, then use the minimum amount of the vinegar solution, otherwise dry-clean.
Mop up the bulk of the liquid, try the vinegar solution on furnishings. On carpets try flushing the stain with a syphon of soda, then shampoo with carpet cleaner.
