  Washable Fabrics

Immerse at once in cold water. While soaking, dissolve washing up liquid in the water, at the same time rubbing the area with your fingers. If this does not remove the stain, soak in a biological detergent in warm water. Should the stain persist, sprinkle borax on the mark and flush with water as hot as article will stand. Wash in the usual way.

  Non Washable Fabrics

Dab sparingly with cold water, if no success then take to the dry cleaners.

  Carpets and Furnishings

Dab furnishings with cold water, then try using a commercial home drying cleaning solution. Otherwise take to a dry- cleaner if possible. For carpets, use a soda syphon of cold water on the stain, mop up until as dry as possible, then use a carpet shampoo.
