  Washable Fabrics

Scrape off as much as possible from surface of article. Washing up liquid can be rubbed into the stain with your fingers, or a commercial grease solvent can be used. Sponge with warm water. Wash at the highest temperature possible that the material can take.

  Non Washable Fabrics

Scrape off as much as possible. For a small stain a little amount of washing -up liquid diluted in lukewarm water, gently rubbed into stain and rinsed off with warm water may be successful. Otherwise, take to the dry cleaners.

  Carpets and Furnishings

Treat as for non-washable fabrics on furnishings, taking care with delicate fabrics. If the mark will not shift use a proprietary stain remover. For carpets sponge with warm water then use carpet shampoo.
